Relay For Life

Americans are not in the habit of standing idly by when loved ones are threatened or harmed. Our instinct is to protect our family and friends by fighting back with all we have.

One such threat that has struck virtually every family in America is cancer. This terrible disease is an enemy to all of us and must be defeated.

It's time to take action now - - - It's time for a real victory!

American Cancer Society Relay For Life colage

A
long with many other dedicated members of our community, the War On Cancer team has taken up the challenge of raising funds on behalf of the American Cancer Society to help fight cancer.

"Relay For Life" is the American Cancer Society's main fundraising event held each year in cities across the country. The members of our team were honored to have been a part of the 1st annual Kansas City Relay For Life. It was a very rewarding experience for all of us and we intend to be involved with the Relay For Life every year.

Caregivers Wall of Honor

Honoring Cancer Caregivers...

Caregivers are "on call" 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They may be family members or friends while others are paid. They help out in so many ways such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, driving to doctor appointments and picking up prescriptions.

Most importantly, a caregiver provides companionship and emotional support throughout their loved one's cancer treatment. Just having someone there to talk to may be the most important thing of all.

Caregiving is hard and often stressful. A caregiver may feel overwhelmed and unappreciated. That is why we have created the "Caregivers Wall Of Honor" to recognize these devoted people that are so important to anyone diagnosed with cancer.

Please complete the donation form and check the Caregiver box under type of donation to have your honored Caregiver included on the "Caregivers Wall Of Honor".
